Residents of Colorado recently passed Proposition 122, allowing adults aged 21 and over to gift or share psilocybin mushrooms. The selling of magic mushrooms is currently prohibited. It can, however, be gifted by a certified professional who offers coaching, therapy, and hard reduction information. The Microdose Advantage can provide paid coaching along with gifted microdose capsules. If you are outside the state of Colorado, you can still receive the paid coaching, but the medicine capsules are not provided. You would have to seek out your own based on your local laws and we cannot advise on a source.

Common side effects experiecned from microdosing include increased energy levels, improved mood, and heightened creativity. Additionally, some users have reported improved focus, enhanced sociability, and increased productivity. While the exact effects of microdosing vary from person to person, most people report feeling more energized and optimistic after taking a dose.

Microdosing does not appear to be addicted in nature, nor does it pose a significant threat of physical addiction. Generally speaking, most experts agree that microdosing is relatively safe, but there are some potential risks to consider and it is not for everyone. There are certain health conditions, medications, and supplements that make microdosing not an option for certain people. The Microdose Advantage will not work with anyone who doesn’t pass our initial medical inquiry.

At a molecular level, psilocybin binds to serotonin receptors in the brain, which can lead to an increased release of neurochemicals like dopamine, norepinephrine, and glutamate. These neurotransmitters may be responsible for the improved cognitive functioning that some users experience when microdosing magic mushrooms. This stimulation results in increased levels of neuroplasticity. Additionally, studies suggest that psilocybin can reduce the activity of fear-related areas in the brain, decreasing anxiety.

Because both psychedelics and SSRIs affect serotonin levels in the body, combining them could lead to an increase in serotonin syndrome symptoms. Serotonin Syndrome is a potentially life-threatening condition caused by too much serotonin in the body, which can cause confusion, muscle twitches, and trouble breathing. It is also important to note that combining psychedelics with SSRIs may reduce the effectiveness of both substances.
For these reasons, we cannot work with clients who take SSRIs at this time. This may change in the future when more research has been done and its safety can be proven in the scientific community.
